Sunday, I paced a good friend for her first marathon. Despite the course having significantly more hills than where we train, and despite hurting, she kicked some serious boot-ay at this race. And as a reward, we both got some great booty: this big-a$$ medal.
To put it in perspective, the center earth (which spins!) is larger than every other medal I've gotten thus far. Pretty flipping sweet.
More to come...
Holy smokes! That is some big @ss bling!!! Can't wait to hear more and congrats to your friend on her first marathon!!! That had to be so awesome to be a part of that experience for her.
ReplyDeleteSo cool that you paced her! Glad it was a good experience.

ReplyDeleteWow - that's a SWEET medal!!!! HUGE! There the shirts that say "I run for the bling" (yep, that would be a good shirt to wear in that race). Glad you ran it with your friend - that's cool! A first marathon (not that I've done a full, but my first half anyway) is a once in a lifetime experience.

ReplyDeleteumm i need to run this one next year! it doesn't take much to motivate me to run a race though... but that medal is awesome.
